    Winterizing your ATV (for those not putting on the snowplow!)

    Here’s a great article from our friends at Cottage Life on what you might consider to pack away your ATV for the winter.  Of course I know some of you will be attaching snowplows or riding out to your fish-huts (once the ice is good and thick!).   “Before bedding down your ATV for the winter, make sure cold, condensation, chemical breakdown, and critters don’t turn your spring start-up into a letdown. 1.     All Rides Suspended for now!

    Unfortunately the fire situation for now has not improved enough to lift travel restrictions. So the next Holdridge Creek ride has to be postponed. On our ride schedule the following rides cannot be held if they were to be held today: Thistle Lake, Holdridge Creek, Marten River, Murray Lake, Hwy 805 to Cross Lake and Gull Lake. You can see that we will have to rethink the schedule. What our ride committee will do is reschedule the rides according to the MNRF removal of travel restrictions.     Cancellation of the WNATV Club Thistle Lake Ride

    This email is to notify you of the CANCELLATION of the Thistle Lake ride this coming Saturday, July 14th. This is due to the numerous forest fires in the area of River Valley and the potential for more due to lightening last night. Last count was 10 around here including Temagami. Apparently our parking area has been commandeered by MNR personnel. We hope you understand the situation especially the sponsors of the ride.     NOTICE TO MEMBERS: Change to 2018 Ride Schedule

    Please note the following change to the 2018 Ride Schedule The July 14th Yorston ride has been cancelled for this year. It is being replaced with the Thistle Lake remake ride which had been cancelled on May 12 due to trail conditions. Please update your calendars and we will see you on the trail!

    Catalogue Update

    WNATV Club 2018 Members…..the ride catalog for the 2018 Rides have all been updated as well as the 2017 Rides.  Have a look!  Only the Thistle Lake ride is locked out at this time because the ride is being “remade”.  We’ll update this after our scouts get a chance to check out the trails to ensure safe passage.  Let’s hope the snow leaves soon!

    AGM post meeting notes

    We had a very nice turn out on Wednesday night to our 2018 AGM. The Club has a brand new set of Bylaws, and we look forward to an even more efficient way of managing the Club. Stay tuned to the website for more updates.  The new Board of Directors has been listed on the website, and the minutes of the meeting will be posted very soon.     Notes from the first Map Committee meeting

    Just a note to fill you in on the results of our map committee meeting. The committee is made up of Sue & Perry Brown, Bob Martin, Art Constantineau and Barry Beauchamp. We set the purpose of the committee and established the duties. Some of the resolutions were: We will not make available a map booklet but publish maps, tracks and ride descriptions on the webpage. Members can download the information to make their own book if they wish to do so. The rides have been divided into 7 regions and the rides ( 40 in all) will be classified into these regions.
