Murray Lake Ride Report

The Murray Lake Ride was the sixth ride of the season for the West Nipissing ATV Club.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise.

There were 7 ATV’s and one Side-by-Side and a total of 8 riders in attendance.

We left from the parking lot at 9:30 a.m. motoring down a trail that led to Washagami Lake and then proceeding to Murray Lake Dam and Bridge where we stopped for a quick break.

From there we rode on, to the Murray Lake Sandy Beach for a second break, and to enjoy the sandy beach.

Continuing on from the beach, on a bit of a rougher section of the trail, we arrived and paused at Murray River before proceeding on to Kelly Lake, where we enjoyed our lunch break.

With full bellies, after lunch, we followed a trail to the Murray River Bridge, then continuing on along the trail to Knowles Lake for another break and to enjoy this beautiful lake scenery.  Then we were back on the machines and headed to Murray lake.

Leaving Murray Lake we traveled over a trail to Jack Lake for an afternoon coffee break and then motored on to Dwyer Lake for the final stop.

The group continued on down the trail leading back to our vehicles.  We arrived back at the parking area for 4:00 p.m.

The total ride was rated at a # 3 and everyone had a good day. Fortunately, there were no breakdowns, and all returned satisfied and smiling.

A great ride for all.
