Next Ride

When: July 09, 2022

Where: King Ride

Difficulty Rating:  5

Description:

On behalf of the ride committee chair and ride leader, Art Constantineau and tail, Al Giroux, we would like to remind you of the upcoming King ride, Saturday, July 9th. The ride is rated a 5 on our difficulty scale. It is a ride that is physical and challenging in spots with mud and difficult terrain. The leader questions if some of the side by sides can successfully manage parts of the trail. If you do have a side by side, the maximum width recommended should be 50 inches. Riders will have to decide if this ride is for them.

To access the parking area, drive from Field on Hwy 64 approximately 20 km. towards Marten River and Hwy 11 N. At Mountain Home Lodge on Holdridge Creek and just after the bridge turn right on McLaren Road. Just a short distance there is a large area to park. If coming from North Bay the turn off is approximately 3 km. past Red Cedar Lake and just before the Holdridge Creek bridge turn left.

The ride will leave the parking area at 9:15 AM and is 50 km. long. We hope to get back to our vehicles by 3:30 PM. Also, bring a lunch.

1. Very easy, mostly road and good trails. No challenges.
2. Mostly easy, but with some minor challenges.
3. Trails with some minor mud, obstacles and bush cover.
4. Trails with some challenging mud, obstacles or fairly dense bush.
5. Trails with major mud areas, challenging obstacles or dense bush
