Boisvenue Trail – June 13, 2026
We had a fantastic turnout for our recent club ride with an equal distribution of ATVs and SxSs! Despite rain in the forecast, the weather largely cooperated. The group departed from the Church in Field parking lot at 9:00 AM, heading down the railbed toward the Boisvenue trail.
Thanks to the damp forecast over the week, dust was kept to a minimum—but the muddy sections certainly made up for it! Our ride leader was the first to get stuck in an early mud hole setting the tend for the balance of the ride. The rest of the group quickly took the bypass in this case but it was not the case for every mud hole. The first leg of the Boisvenue main trail proved challenging for everyone, with even the bypasses tested riders’ skills. Winches got a heavy workout, with more than half of the ATVs needing a pull at some point throughout the day.
After a lunch break along the pole line, we tackled a few more mud holes and a massive swamp crossing. The swamp was easily one of the biggest challenges of the day, but everyone had a blast navigating it. At on point there was three units beside each other stuck a the same time but this did not deter riders from finding a way around or through to the other side. Everyone’s efforts were rewarded by a brief 10-minute shower which hit us around 1:30 PM, but the rain quickly cleared.
Upon reaching the halfway mark, the group voted to take the short loop back as the consensus was we all had had enough and needed to get home and sooth aching muscles so we returned via Pike Lake Road, making a quick stop at Pike Lake so one rider could rinse out a mud-packed radiator.
We arrived back at the parking lot around 2:30 PM. To wrap up the day, Club President Ray Routhier called a brief meeting to gather feedback and suggestions for club improvements. The consensus was overwhelmingly positive, with members expressing great satisfaction with how the club is currently being run. Thanks to everyone who came out for a memorable, muddy day on the trails!
