2025 Parade of Lights
It has been some time since the Club has participated the Sturgeon Falls Parade of Lights, the annual Christmas parade through the streets of town to usher in the holidays. The weather was just right with a light dusting of snow falling with temperatures just under the freezing point. Five members in two SxS and one Quad all gussied up with lights represented the Club during the two-hour parade.
As the many floats winding their way through the streets, joyful faces, kind season greetings and a few “6-7” were exchanged. If you do not know what a 6-7 is, then you are not from the age of the internet influenced pre teen generation, it’s a welcome greeting of sorts. Others appreciative spectators lined the streets, all warmly bundled up or gathered around small fire rings cheering on each float as they passed by.
This event participation is the first of many strategies the Club is undertaking to raise its presence in the community in an effort to revitalize membership and increase interest in the trails we steward . A grateful thank you goes out to those that participated in this year’s parade and there is always next year for those who missed out.
