Let the Season Begin
The word is in, our first scheduled ride for the 2025 season is in the process of being scouted and all indications show a thumbs up for the end of the month. As the date draws closer there will be an email notification with all the appropriate information sent to all current members. Keep an eye on your email over the next week.
For those of us that have not begun your pre-season “dust off the cobwebs” preparations for the season, here are a few reminders;
- Check your battery state of charge from its long winter’s nap. Charge it as required.
- Check your fluid levels and top up or replace where required.
- Inspect your air filter. Blow clean, replace or oil as required.
- Inspect your tires, lugs and/or bead lockers. While there check your tire pressures. Adjust as required.
- Find, clean and lubricate any bearings is required.
This list is offered as a suggestion and by no means an all inclusive Pre Trip inspection process. As always, check your owner’s manual for any other suggested steps made by your vehicle manufacture and complete as indicated.
Maybe the last thing you might do is spend a little time buffing off the winter dust to put a little shine on your bike. This allows you to visually inspect the overall appearance of your ATV to catch any dings or dents, scratches or cracks, and oil stains that may lead to further issues later on in the season.
A little preventative maintenance can go a long way towards preventing breakdowns on the trails this year.
